Is this app included with my appointment?
No, the app is a separate, optional service designed to enhance your health journey. While it complements medical nutrition therapy provided by Dr. Nelson and the team at Healing Duo, it is not included in the cost of your medical visits.
However, if you're an active patient, this tool can offer additional structure and support between appointments—especially when implementing dietary recommendations.
​Please note: Using the app does not establish or replace a doctor–patient relationship. It is a self-guided tool that works alongside, but independently from, your clinical care.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, absolutely. You can cancel your subscription at any time by emailing us at contactus@thehealingduo.com.
Once you cancel, you’ll still have access to the app for the remainder of your current subscription period—either the rest of the month for monthly users or the rest of the year for annual subscribers.
​Please note: refunds are not issued for unused time after cancellation, so we recommend using your plan through the full term for maximum benefit.
Does this replace working with Dr. Nelson?
Not at all. This app is an add-on support tool—not a replacement for individualized medical care. It’s designed to help you better implement the nutritional advice and meal planning strategies discussed during your visits.
For patients actively seeing Dr. Nelson or another Healing Duo provider, this app can offer enhanced tracking, accountability, and easier communication.
For non-patients, the app still delivers evidence-based, naturopathic-informed nutrition tools—but using it does not create a doctor–patient relationship.
