Pamela Santapaola, ND

Naturopathic Physician & Gastrointestinal Specialist located in Norwalk, CT

About Dr. Santapaola

Dr. Pamela Santapaola (AKA Dr. Pam) is a naturopathic physician and co-owner of Healing Duo Integrative Family Medical Practice in Norwalk, Connecticut. Dr. Pam's practice focuses on stomach and intestinal disorders (bloating, acid reflux, IBS, constipation, Crohn's disease), anxiety, fatigue, and women's health (PMS, perimenopause, menopause). She specializes in pediatric care, focusing on ADD, ADHD, allergies, eczema, and colic.

Dr. Pam's exposure to alternative medicine began early, as her family was always holistically oriented. She has seen the benefits of natural medicine in treating various conditions, including her digestive health issues. This has been attributed to her passion for stomach and intestinal health. She often finds that treating the digestive system improves many other conditions like fatigue, anxiety, depression, autoimmune diseases, and eczema.

She completed her medical training at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine in Connecticut, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Before receiving her doctorate, Dr. Pam obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Vertebrate Biology from Stony Brook University in New York.

Dr. Pam's approach to medicine is individualistic. She understands the importance of conventional and holistic medicine and uses both to her and her patients' advantage. She utilizes diagnostic testing and patients' symptoms to discover the root cause of the disease or problem. Her treatments focus heavily on nutrition, lifestyle modifications, physician-grade supplementation, and acupuncture. Dr. Pam is passionate about educating her patients and providing them with the right tools to prevent further complications in the future. As she says, 'It's time for you to start feeling like your best self."

During her free time, Dr. Pam enjoys spending time with her family. She loves being out on the water, fishing, playing basketball, mountain biking, reading, and coloring. Another known fact is that Dr. Pam loves Disney World (wait until you see one of her exam rooms).
